The Prince of the Host is the Prince of the Covenant, Jesus Christ.

A case could be made that Antiochus Epiphanes did in fact magnify himself to the Prince of the Host through his actions with the Jews. However, we must remember that Antiochus predated Jesus arriving on this earth as the Prince of the Host (Covenant).
